Practice nurses work as part of a team of professional staff in a general practice surgery.
Julie Bolton
RN BSc (hons)
Julie joined the surgery in December 2018. She is the nurse manager at the practice as well as our Diabetes specialist nurse, looking after all aspects of diabetes care including insulin initiation. She has a wealth of experience in all areas of practice nursing and treatment room procedures.Rosie Mayo
Rosie joined the surgery as a newly qualified nurse in August 2023. She will be working within the treatment room and helping Julie with type-2 diabetic and pre-diabetic patients.
Freya Mansell
Freya joined the surgery in January 2025 as a newly qualified nurse. She is on a huge learning curve as she will be trained to become a treatment room nurse. The plan is that Freya will become a respiratory nurse in the near future.
Carolynn Hewlett
Carolynn joined the surgery in October 2024 as a highly experienced Respiratory Nurse. Carolynn will be caring for all our Asthma and COPD patients.
Healthcare assistants
We have three healthcare assistants, two of which have been with the practice for several years. They all have a wide range of experience in a variety of procedures, including INR monitoring, smoking cessation, ECGs, wound care, phlebotomy, B12, flu and Pneumococcal injections and more.
